digital pulse

digital pulse is a weekly 20 minute podcast that covers the top technology news stories . That’s pretty much the low down. The idea is eventually when it expands the show will be released daily with the latest goings on in the technology industry. digital pulse was started by me (Stephen) and was really to scratch my own itch of wanting a podcast that would summarise my RSS feeds for me.

About Stephen

Well on November the 12th 1990, Stephen was born just outside London in a lovely place called Rickmansworth near Watford in England. Then a few years later his arch nemesis / sister arrived, nicknamed “Girlpants, Fart mouth, Wiggle bum, Fanny, One half of the gay gang, Hecky, Blondie, Spot head, The Girl and more recently, Wild Child” a.ka. Becky. Then sometime in May 1995 the family up’d sticks and moved to (not so) sunny Bournemouth on the south cost. As this story isn’t going anywhere and Stephen didn’t do much growing up since then its safe to say that Stephen is some guy who loves radio and likes to be modest about his vast knowledge of computers.

The Equipment

Well I have gone on a completely non-traditional and non-sensible thought process with this and have ended up with sort of a mic and a post-production environment. So unless you know what your doing (really know what your doing and have had a lot experience in doing “this shit”), then I wouldn’t use this as an example to base your studio on. I’ve put together an equipment list for your browsing pleasure:

  • Audio Technica AT35 Microphone
  • Alesis iO2 Audio Interface
  • My Mac (MacBook Pro with 2.4 GHz with 2GB RAM) running Bootcamp for Adobe Audition
  • Behringer B-Control BCF2000 for controlling Audition
  • My lovely Beyerdynamic DT-700’s
  • An external drive for back up
  • Mic cables, stands, pop filters, shock mounts and various USB leads
